The UCC admission list for 2026/2027 is expected to be released in August 2026. Apply early — once the portal closes at 11:59 PM on the deadline date, no new applications will be accepted.


UCC Entry Requirements — 2026/2027

For WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants

  • Credit passes (A1–C6 for WASSCE / A–D for SSSCE) in SIX (6) subjects
  • Three of the six must be core subjects: English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • Three must be relevant elective subjects for the chosen programme
  • Overall aggregate of 36 (WASSCE) / 24 (SSSCE) or better
  • Grade D7 is NOT accepted — only A1 to C6

For A-Level / ABCE / GBCE Applicants

  • Passes in at least two A-Level subjects with a good General Paper result
  • Credit passes in at least six GBCE subjects including English Language and Mathematics

For Diploma / HND Holders

  • Placement will be determined by assessment of certificates — successful applicants may be admitted at Level 100, 200, or 300

For Mature Applicants

  • Must be at least 25 years old and pass UCC's Mature Entrance Examination (MEE)

UCC Hostel Fees — 2026/2027

UCC has both on-campus halls of residence and off-campus private hostels. On-campus accommodation is generally more affordable, ranging from approximately GH¢2,500 to GH¢4,500 per academic year. Off-campus private hostels near the Cape Coast campus range from GH¢4,000 to GH¢8,000+ per year depending on the number of occupants per room. Students are advised to check with the UCC Students Representative Council (SRC) or the official UCC website for the latest hostel fee schedule.
