UG-Legon Entry Requirements — 2026/2027

For WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants

  • Credit passes (A1–C6 for WASSCE / A–D for SSSCE) in THREE Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies
  • Credit passes in THREE relevant Elective Subjects
  • An overall aggregate of 24 or better
  • For the BA Programme, applicants must select up to four (4) subject bouquets from the UG bouquet list
  • Programmes at the College of Health Sciences (except SBAHS) must be chosen as FIRST CHOICE only
  • D7, E8, F9 grades are NOT accepted

For Fee-Paying Applicants

  • Qualified applicants who meet minimum requirements but cannot meet competitive cut-off points may opt for the Fee-Paying Scheme by indicating it on the application form

For Mature Applicants

  • Must be at least 25 years old
  • Must pass UG's Mature Applicants Entrance Examination
  • Distance Learning (BA) Mature Admission is also available

UG-Legon Hostel Fees — 2026/2027

UG-Legon has several halls of residence on campus. Hostel fees vary by hall and room type. Generally, on-campus accommodation ranges from GH¢2,500 to GH¢5,000+ per academic year depending on the hall and room sharing arrangement. Off-campus private hostels near Legon cost significantly more. Students are advised to check the official UG accommodation office for the latest fee structure as fees are updated each academic year.
