WASSCE 2026 candidates who wrote the September/October exams can apply as awaiting results and upload their results as soon as they are released.
UMaT Entry Requirements — 2026/2027
For WASSCE / SSSCE Applicants
- Credit passes (A1–C6 WASSCE / A–D SSSCE) in at least SIX subjects
- Three Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science
- Three Science Electives: Biology, Physics, and Chemistry (required for most engineering programmes)
- Overall aggregate of 36 (WASSCE) / 24 (SSSCE) or better
- UMaT accepts a D7 in English Language (unlike most other public universities)
For NVTI / City and Guilds Applicants
- Minimum of NVTI Level II or City and Guilds Level II
- Credit passes in at least THREE Core WASSCE/SSSCE subjects
For Fee-Paying Applicants
- Applicants who meet the minimum aggregate of 36 but cannot meet competitive departmental cut-offs may apply for the Fee-Paying scheme if they have full sponsorship
