Current final year SHS students writing WASSCE/GBCE in May/June 2026 are also eligible to apply. They must indicate their WASSCE/GBCE index numbers on the online application form.


UPSA Entry Requirements — 2026/2027

For WASSCE / SSSCE / GBCE Applicants

  • Credit passes (A1–C6 for WASSCE / A–D for SSSCE) in at least SIX subjects
  • Must include English Language and Core Mathematics
  • Grade D7 is NOT accepted
  • BSc. Real Estate Management and Finance: must have credits in Economics, Geography and one other elective
  • BSc. Actuarial Science and BSc. Data Science & Analytics: must have credit in Elective Mathematics
  • BSc. Business Economics: must have credits in Economics and Elective Mathematics

For Mature Applicants

  • Must be at least 25 years old by June 5, 2026
  • Must provide proof of age (birth certificate at least 5 years old)
  • Must have at least 5 years' work experience with a letter of appointment
  • Must pass UPSA's Mature Access Course Entrance Examinations in Mathematics, English Language, and Aptitude Test (minimum 40% in each paper)

Important: UPSA specialises in business and professional programmes. Specific programmes like Actuarial Science and Business Economics have stricter elective subject requirements. Use Uni-Suggest to verify your eligibility before applying.

UPSA Hostel Fees — 2026/2027

UPSA is located in Accra (East Legon/Madina area). The university does not have large on-campus halls like KNUST or UCC. Most students live in private hostels near the campus. Off-campus hostel fees in the East Legon and Madina areas typically range from GH¢4,000 to GH¢9,000+ per year depending on room type and location. Students are advised to contact the UPSA Students Affairs office for guidance on approved accommodation options.
